A Word from the Provincial Spokesperson
Hello everyone,
I want to tell you how honoured and privileged I feel to join forces with the devoted Leucan Shaved Head Challenge team. As the official 2010 Leucan spokesperson, and consequently as spokesperson of this event, I will make it my duty to challenge Quebecers to shave their heads and raise money and awareness for children with cancer.
Leucan’s mission and the cause it strives for goes straight to my heart. In recent years, I have been able to witness the significance of the role Leucan plays in the lives of children with cancer and their families. To have the opportunity to actively and concretely collaborate with Leucan moves me deeply. Children deserve nothing but health and happiness.
Everything began for me when I first met an extraordinary young boy for whom I wrote the song “Mon héros”. He was an incredible source of inspiration and a testament to courage. He unfortunately lost his battle against cancer. He will always remain my hero!
On June 13, you can also become a hero for these children by participating in the biggest shaving event of the province.
