Xavier Caron, 10, was the first participant to register for Montreal�s 2006 Shaved Head Challenge. Xavier said he wanted to participate so that cancer would only be a distant memory for children with cancer. Leucan salutes the courage of Dr. Nathalie Lapierre, 8 and half months pregnant, who gave Leucan $7,000. Lapierre said she was so determined to get her head shaved that, had she given birth early, she would have insisted on getting her head shaved in the hospital! Lapierre�s courage was an inspiration to everyone at the event.
